The Deuce is Las Vegas’ public transportation. The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) provides Double Decker bus service on the Las Vegas Strip.
Cost: A two-hour pass is $6; a 24-hour pass is $8, and a three-day pass is $20. You can buy your ticket on the bus.
If you’re looking to check out the old Strip and don’t want to pay a lot and don’t mind riding a bus, the Deuce is a good option. It is the cheapest form of transportation from the Strip to Downtown Las Vegas/Fremont Street.
While the bus runs throughout town, there are two routes you can specifically take for the Strip and Downtown, The Deuce on The Strip and SDX Strip & Downtown Express. The Deuce on The Strip operates 24/7. SDX Strip and Downtown Express operates 9 a.m. to Midnight.

Bus Stops at McCarran Airport:
The Las Vegas Monorail is a state-of-the-art, automated, driverless rail system that runs above the streets along the east side of the Las Vegas Strip. The monorail stops at seven points on the Las Vegas Strip.
Cost: A single ride is $5, a day pass is $12, and they also have two to seven-day passes with prices that range from $22-$56. If you’re a Nevada local, you can buy a single ride for $1; restrictions apply depending on how many you want to buy.
The monorail is also a great option for anyone attending a convention at the Las Vegas Convention Center. There are also free shuttle rides available at various off-the-Strip hotels.
The monorail does not run all night. After a certain hour, you will need to take a different form of transportation.
Monorail access at Harrah’s leads to the Las Vegas Convention Center and MGM.
On-property: Hertz Car Rental
Our partnership with Hertz gives you special rates on car rentals when you stay at The Venetian Resort. Grazie® members can save up to 35% off rentals. Visit hertz.com/venetianpalazzo or book with offer code: CDP# 2124773.
Off-property: McCarran Rent-A-Car Center
From McCarran Airport:
Rental Car Return:
Upon arrival at the McCarran Rent-A-Car Center, follow the signs to the Rental Car Return entrance off of Gilespie St. Continue following the overhead signs to the appropriate car rental company. After returning your vehicle, proceed through the lobby and out the main entrance to the shuttles. Blue and white McCarran Rent-A-Car Center shuttle buses depart to the airport approximately every five minutes.
Board the appropriate shuttle to Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 for your departing flight.
Cost: Varies depending on where you want to go. Uber will display price range. Lyft will not.
Use ride sharing when you’re off the Strip, not while at a hotel property or looking to come to the Strip. Always be aware of when surge pricing is in effect as you could end up paying $100 for a trip that could have cost $30-$50.
From The Venetian and The Palazzo:
If you have never used Uber or Lyft, you can get $20 off your first ride by using someone’s referral.
More than 10 taxi companies provide service to and from the airport and locations throughout Las Vegas. Some taxis will not accept credit card payments. Customers should notify the attendant if they plan to use a credit card for payment.
The maximum number of passengers allowed in any taxi is five, including infants and children.
Cost: Varies depending on traffic and time of year. Additionally, there is a $1.80 charge on all fares originating at the airport.
Taxis are great to use when you want to go from property to property, to and from the airport, or if you’re just trying to get back to your house after a night at the club. There are plenty of them throughout town, so you never have to worry about there not being enough drivers at a late hour.
As with Uber and Lyft, you cannot hail a taxi on the Strip. Just look for the taxi line sign, usually near valet. If you have any concerns with a taxi driver, you can call the Nevada Taxi Cab Authority at 702.668.4005 to report any issues.
Take Koval Lane instead of the freeway to save some fare.
Always the best rates guaranteed.
