Set in a modern and intimate cabaret, BAZ - Star Crossed Love is a celebration, a mash-up of music, and moments from the greatest love stories imagined by famed director Baz Luhrmann.

Inspired by Baz’s most romantic films, Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge, and The Great Gatsby, the show will captivate with soul-stirring music and stunning performances from an ensemble cast of vocalists, actors, and dancers.

Timyra-Joi (Juliet)

Eighteen year old Timyra-Joi from San Diego, California is thrilled to be joining the BAZ family for her Vegas debut. She started singing at the age of two years old with official voice lessons by the age of five. In 2013 she was one of 12 finalists of Christina Aguilera’s team on NBC's The Voice, and recently got to play her dream role as Dorothy in the Wiz. Myles Nuzzi
Myles Nuzzi (Romeo)

Originally from Maine, Myles Nuzzi is thrilled to be making his Vegas debut with BAZ: Star Crossed Love. He is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, where he performed with the award-winning SoCal VoCals for Barack and Michelle Obama, Chris Martin, Andrea Bocelli, David Foster, and more. He has worked as a session singer in the Los Angeles area for various projects, including the Grammy Jazz Ensembles, Michael Bublé, Glenn Ballard, and ABC's The Middle, and recently completed a contract with For the Record: Dear John Hughes aboard the Norwegian Escape. Favorite roles include Chip in '25th Annual..Spelling Bee', Jon in 'tick, tick.. BOOM!', Charley in 'Merrily We Roll Along,' and 'Man 2 in Songs for a New World.' @mylesnuzzi

Savannah Cross
Savannah Cross (Fran)

Savannah Cross is from Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated spring of 2015 with a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah. Savannah is one of 7 dancers in the country to receive the Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship and was a member of the Performing Dance Company, where she worked with renowned choreographers including I-fen Lin, Eric Handman and Satu Hummasti. She has trained with the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in the United Kingdom, where she collaborated with international dancers. Also, Savannah has traveled throughout the country assisting for the dance convention, Hollywood Connection. She has worked with Jamar Roberts of Alvin Ailey and has also been involved in MOVE and Evolutions of Dance under the direction of Rick Robinson. In 2011, she was a finalist on Paula Abdul's TV show Live to Dance and was also a featured dancer in Shaun Canon’s music video “Emotional Constellations.” Savannah performed with “Ririe-Woodbury" in their spring show, Spring Season. She is currently a dancer on “Gotham Dance Theater” and “of bones || hollye bynum” in New York City.

Ashley Loren
Ashley Loren (Satine)

Ashley Loren has traveled the world alongside artists such as Bono/U2, Angelique Kidjo, Melissa Etheridge, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lupe Fiasco, Dev Hynes/Blood Orange, Yoko Ono and more. She was last seen on the Broadway stage in the revival of JEKYLL & HYDE following its National Tour and recently completed Greenday’s AMERICAN IDIOT. Ashley has performed on major television networks including CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX and MTV, on Good Morning America, The Today Show, LIVE with Kelly & Michael, The View, MADE, America's Got Talent, Howard Stern (siriusXM)Saturday Night Live! The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Ellen. Ashley has also performed for sold out crowds around the world, traveling nationally and internationally with BroadwayROX, Spiegelworld Empire, Nederlander Worldwide and Amnesty International. She was featured on season 8 of American Idol, and signed to UMG/Island Def Jam. William Thomas Evans
William Thomas Evans (Maestro)

William Thomas Evans comes directly to BAZ from a year long run in the off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks where he played Hucklebee. Prior to that he was on the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 2014-2015 where he played Jacob/Pothiphar.  He was Senator Lamar Farcus on Amazon’s first series Alpha House starring John Goodman for 2 seasons. He was in the original Broadway companies of Camelot (1993 revival starring Robert Goulet), The Scarlet Pimpernel(versions 1 and 2), occasionally plating the title role (cast albums), and A Tale of Two Cities where he played the Attorney General (cast album). He has performed as Santa Claus for over 1.5 million people across the country in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.  This one’s for Katrina.

Charissa Hogeland
Charissa Hogeland (Daisy)

Charissa Hogeland is ecstatic to return to her FTR family, with whom she previously performed their Baz Luhrman, John Hughes, and The Marshall's shows in Los Angeles. Charissa is fresh off the Kinky Boots first national tour, in which she played the role of Nicola. Other credits include the off-broadway musical Heathers (Veronica), Showboat with "Live at Lincoln Center", Sleepless in Seattle, Cabaret (Sally Bowles), Chicago (Hollywood Bowl), and The Producers (Hollywood Bowl). TV/film credits include The Son (AMC), A Couple of Fu** Ups (web series), and music videos for her work with John Davisi. Zak Resnick
Zak Resnick (Christian)

ZAK RESNICK’s Broadway credits include: Mamma Mia! (Sky). His Off-Broadway credits include: Piece of My Heart: The Bert Berns Story (Bert); Once Upon A Mattress (Sir Harry), directed by Jack Cummings III for Transport Group; and Disaster (Chad). Zak’s television credits include: Lovestruck for ABC Family, and In-development credits include: Benny & Joon (Sam) for Transport Group; Lempicka (Tadeusz), Brave New World (John). Zak received a BFA Drama from Carnegie Mellon University and was an acting student of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney, Australia.

Tiffany O’Connor
Tiffany O’Connor (Myrtle)

Born and raised in Sydney Australia, Tiffany O’Connor is thrilled to be debuting on American soil with Baz, Star Crossed Love. Tiffany’s success from studying in New York and Australia have given her the opportunity to appear on stage and screen, some of which include LightSeeker the multimillion dollar musical in Singapore, dancing at Australian Idol Grand Final, Universal Studios Singapore and Japan, musical tours in China and multiple shows on Carnival Cruise Lines in the Caribbean. Her love for travel and stage have always been the driving force in Tiffany’s life, even after being struck with Leukaemia whilst in New York at age 22. Even more of an accomplishment, is having much of this success all before her remission date. She looks forward to her new journey in America and hopes to continue a long fulfilled career.

Nick Petris
Nick Petris (Henri)

Nick Petris So Cal native, grew up in Brea, CA and is jazzed to be making his For the Record debut. Nick began performing at a young age and started his professional career at the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland, USA, Hersheypark, Pennsylvania andTokyo Disneyland. He has traveled the world as a featured singer for Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Norwegian Cruise Lines. His favorite theatre credits include; The Music Man, Cabaret, Anything, Goes, and YAGM, Charlie Brown. Most recently, he has been on tour throughout the U.S., Canada and, Australia with OH WHAT A NIGHT! A Musical Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and FOUR BY FOUR - A Tribute to the Beatles, Beach Boys, Bee Gees, and Motown. Nick is currently working on his first solo album and plans to return to school in the fall to study Business Entrepreneurship in effort to pursue another dream of his; owning a pizza and wine restaurant. Lisa Marie Smith
Lisa Marie Smith (Satie)

Lisa Marie Smith was raised in Las Vegas, and a graduate of The Boston Conservatory of Music. Previously starred as the singer of PIN UP at the Stratosphere Hotel from 2013-2016, receiving accolades such as one of Las Vegas' 100 Most Influential Women. Conor Guzman
Conor Guzman (Gatsby)

A NYC-based actor/writer, Conor is thrilled to be apart of the Baz team! Conor is a proud UMich grad (go blue!) and has recently appeared (performing alongside Hal Linden) as Matt in the Pasadena Playhouse’s revival of THE FANTASTICKS for which he received a Broadway World Award nomination for Best Leading Actor. He’s also appeared as Prince Philip in the Lythgoe Family’s panto production of SLEEPING BEAUTY, as Prince Eric in Cabrillo Music Theatre’s THE LITTLE MERMAID, and as Prince Topher in the Gateway Playhouse’s regional premiere of CINDERELLA-The Musical. Conor is a proud founder of the Lucky Cricket Writer’s collective, through which he made his directorial and written debut with the premiere of his original play, WASTED, at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre. Caitlin Ary
Caitlin Ary (Swing)

Caitlin Ary has been singing and dancing since she came into this world and, if all goes well, she'll do it till she dies. This is her 5th For The Record production: "Porcelina"- Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness, "Basketcase"- FTR Dear John Hughes, "Juliet"-FTR Baz Luhrmann, and "Basketcase"- FTR The Brat Pack, aboard the Norwegian Escape.  Previous roles include: "St. Jimmy"-American Idiot, "Sally Bowles"- Cabaret, "Ilse"- Spring Awakening, "Peter Pan"- Peter and Wendy. If you want to find her around Vegas, just look for the girl in the Red Hat.

Ron Remke
Ron Remke (Swing)

Ron Remke was in the closing cast of the iconic, “Donn Arden’s Jubilee!” and was a soloist with the renowned “12 Irish Tenors”. He is a frequent Guest Artist with symphonies throughout the United States and is also a sought after performer on the high seas having visited over 70 countries while performing on board the Silver Spirit and the Regent Voyager as their production singer. Theatrically, he’s performed in numerous regional productions and toured the US in the cast of “Kiss Me, Kate”. He is the voice of "Juan" in Sonia Monzano's No Dog Allowed! and his debut CD entitled Broadway Classics is available on iTunes.

Anne Martinez
Anne Martinez (Swing)

Anne holds a MFA in Theatre Practice from London UK’s CSSD & a BFA in Acting from SUNY Fredonia. Past credits include Patty (u/s Sandy/Rizzo) Euro Tour of GREASE, Mille in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLE, Polly in CRAZY FOR YOU, Amneris in AIDA, Lucy Harris in JEKYLL AND HYDE, Ellen in MISS SAIGON, Cinderella in INTO THE WOODS & Evelyn Nesbit in RAGTIME.  

Rick V. Moreno
Rick V. Moreno (Production Stage Manager)

Rick V. Moreno (Production Stage Manager): is a native of California’s Central Coast. He processes his BFA in Stage Management from The USC School of Dramatic Arts, and completed a one-year Stage Management Internship at Juilliard. NY Credits: Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York Classical, Symphony Space, The Juilliard School; Regional: L.A. Theatre Works, Pasadena Playhouse, The Old Globe, The Wallis Annenberg Center (Beverly Hills, CA), Pasadena Opera, Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts (PCPA), Santa Cruz Shakespeare, Boston Court Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival. Meet the Band

Chris Lash
Chris Lash (Musical Director)

Chris Lash (Musical Director) has worked around the country as a musical director and entertaining audiences as a performer. For the past 9 years he has performed nightly on The Las Vegas Strip as vocalist and pianist and been a Guest Faculty member at The University of Nevada Las Vegas. Teaching musical theatre for their Graduate Program and serving as Resident Musical Director. He’s had the great privilege to be a part of the Las Vegas company of Jersey Boys as one of their conductors. Chris was most recently seen as, Jerry Lee Lewis, in the Vegas company of Million Dollar Quartet.

Jake Langley
Jake Langley (Guitar)

Jake Langley (Guitar) has emerged as one his generation's most versatile guitarists. Originally from Toronto and then New York, Jake has been an in-demand and session guitarist for many years. Jake moved to New York in 2003 and held the guitar chair with the Grammy winning Joey Defrancesco Organ Trio for five years, performing worldwide and recording 3 award winning Cds on Concord Records including Grammy nominated "Organic Vibes" featuring Jazz legends George Coleman, and Bobby Hutcherson. As a sideman he has performed with musical Legends Roberta Flack, The Funk Brothers, Blood Sweat and Tears, David Clayton Thomas, Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson, Asleep at the Wheel, K.D. Lange, Sheena Easton, and many others. He made his way onto Broadway playing in many shows such as The Color Purple, Mama Mia, Lion King, Hair, Wicked, Chicago and Jesus Christ Superstar, Newsies, and 3 Mo' Divas. He has performed with Christen Chenowith, Idena Menzel, Bernadette Peters, and Joan Rivers and many other Broadway stars.

Samantha Ciarlo
Samantha Ciarlo (Violinist)

Samantha Ciarlo (Violinist) is actively performing all over the Las Vegas Strip as a performer in many exciting and award-winning shows. Samantha made her Las Vegas Strip debut in early 2014 as a violinist for headliner Frankie Moreno and his band at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel, & Tower. Other previous shows include Frank. The Man. The Music. at the Palazzo Resort Hotel & Casino, and the very special For the Record: BAZ, a concert-cabaret mash-up of director Baz Luhrmann's films, held in Mandalay Bay's LIGHT Nightclub. She has also had the honor of performing with notable artists, among them being: Plácido Domingo, Ana Maria-Martinez, Andrea Bocelli, '2015 Latin Person of the Year' Roberto Carlos, and Rod Stewart. Samantha is currently a violinist for BAZ Star Crossed Love at the Palazzo Theater, David Perrico – Pop Strings Orchestra at Palms Casino Resort. She is also an active substitute violinist for Steve Wynn's ShowStoppers at Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Resort.


When not performing, Samantha can be found with coffee in-hand, going on food adventures, and spending time with loved ones.

Robby Wingfield
Robby Wingfield (Key 2/ Horns)

Robby Wingfield (Key 2/ Horns) is a multi-instrumentalist, music director, arranger and composer. He is an accomplished keyboard player, woodwind player and singer. As a composer he has written 16 titles for Aristocrat and Konami gaming. As an arranger he has arranged for The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, The Buffalo Symphony Orchestra, The Las Vegas Tenors, Earl Turner, Savannah Smith, Lou Gazzarra and many more. He has played keyboard and saxophone in backing bands for Sammy Hagar, Tiffany, and every major venue in Las Vegas. He also created and runs a successful dance and rock band Empire Records “all 90’s experience” in which he sings, plays guitar, keys and saxophone.

Jose "Pepe" Jimenez
Jose "Pepe" Jimenez (Drums)

Jose "Pepe" Jimenez (Drums) has played drums professionally since the age of 16 and is known for his versatility in different musical styles. He’s product of the Escuela Libre De Musica (Puerto Rico Performing Arts School), Musicians Institute and the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. Pepe has played with Luis Fonsi, El Reencuentro, Giovanni Hidalgo, Jerry Gonzales, Mark Anthony, Olga Tanon, Elvis Crespo, Luis Perico Ortiz, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Jerry Rivera, and The Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra to name a few. Recordings include Ricardo Arjona, Olga Tanon, Armando Manzanero, Elvis Crespo, Ilan Chester, and Glenn Monroig among others. Since move to Las Vegas in 2002 has work in various production shows and bands including Storm, Mamma Mia, Cirque du Soleil Zumanity and Criss Angel Believe, Disney The Lion King, , Taylor Hicks, Latin Grammys, Nascar Awards. Currently is performing with Carlos Santana, Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns and he's solo project The Groove Culture.  

Abe Gumroyan (Bass Guitar)

Abe Gumroyan (Bass Guitar) Grammy Award winning Electric & Acoustic bassist Abo Gumroyan is part of the new generation of bass players crossing musical borders on a daily basis. In addition to his technical command of the acoustic and electric bass, his diverse musical background has allowed him to fit into a gamut of genres from Salsa & Latin Jazz, traditional Armenian & ethnic fusion, & his daily work in a full time symphony orchestra. He also is a strong proponent of using technology & effects for sound manipulation, which makes him a true sonic alchemist to be reckoned with. Most noted for his work in the Latin & Pop music industry Abe recorded on the Grammy winning freshman album from the San Francisco based latin big band, "Pacific Mambo Orchestra". Abe's live appearances include Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Ricky Martin, Carrie Underwood, & many others. Whether playing as a sideman, producer, or soloist, Abe is known for his deep groove, creative & melodic solos, and prowess of different tones and techniques for any musical outing.
