Success Story: Entertaining Small Groups

IMEX 2017 - A Special Hosted Buyers' Soiree

The Venetian leveraged its unique Las Vegas spaces and culinary partnerships to create a singular experience for a select group of valued customers.

Unique Settings

The Venetian encompasses a surprising number of unique and smaller event spaces, such as pool patios, lounges, and private dining rooms. Our many partnerships -- with chefs, designers, spa service providers, and the like -- also enable us to curate unique, interactive experiences for smaller-sized groups.

A recent Hosted Buyers' event for IMEX attendees illustrates these capabilities beautifully. We wanted to give our valued customers a sense of how they could create memorable events for smaller groups by combining non-traditional venues and unique, interactive activities.

The event was held at Bouchon, chef Thomas Keller's classic Parisian-style bistro that opens onto an outdoor courtyard and the Venezia pool deck. Several stations serving a variety of gourmet menu options were set up inside the restaurant, and a cocktail station was set up in the outdoor space. Some furniture was removed and some rearranged to create a lounge-like atmosphere. Porch lights were hung throughout the courtyard to create a special ambience.

To further engage attendees, we introduced evocative entertainment and activities that complimented the romantic bistro setting. A serenading violinist criss-crossed the space; poets spontaneously composed verses for guests on old-fashioned typewriters; a bicyclist distributed freshly-baked baguettes; and guests were able to participate in dessert preparation.

The event was very well received by the IMEX guests. When asked for specific feedback, many mentioned that they hadn't realized such a space existed, and were enthusiastic about the unique networking and entertainment opportunities it presented for smaller groups.

Bouchon and its poolside courtyard are very well suited to small group entertainment. The Venetian has many other unique settings appropriate for smaller groups, including pool decks, hospitality suites, and private restaurant rooms. Browse our non-traditional spaces.
