Las Vegas is a city that enjoys celebrating cultural diversity. When Chinese New Year draws near, The Venetian Resort transforms. We begin with a grand display in the Waterfall Atrium. A feng shui master is consulted to make sure every cultural detail has been considered. It's truly a sight to behold. From special menus to lion dances, there's so much to enjoy while celebrating the new year at The Venetian Resort.
01 Chinese New Year Display
In honor of the new year, a golden version of the animal is sculpted to be the focal point of the design. The animal welcomes guests as they enter the Waterfall Atrium. Smaller versions of the animal are hidden throughout the resort.
Enjoy a range of Chinese restaurants at the resort. Mott 32, Hong Kong Café, and Noodle Asia all offer their own unique dishes to experience. Make reservations ahead of the holiday so you can be seated without a wait.
03 Lion Dance
The lion dance is an annual tradition guests can enjoy. It's a spectacle of fireworks, dancers, and drummers winding their way through the lobbies and casinos. The annual eye-dotting ceremony will held in the guest drop-off area of The Venetian tower and will be followed by the Lion Dance.
Our premier shopping and dining destination hosts some events for the new year. You can enjoy traditional fan dancers and drummer performances at The Sky Garden.
Mott 32 curates a special menu to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Time-honored recipes using modern techniques and premium ingredients make their menu stand out above the rest. They’ve been known to feature sea cucumber, fish maw, and abalone, which are believed to inspire good fortune and health in the new year.
